Hello and welcome to the Melbourne Chess Society!

This group is a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for everyone. We have zero tolerance for sexism, racism, homophobia, fascism, or creepy behaviour. We’re just a bunch of people who became friends over a simple game of chess.

We host meetups around the Melbourne CBD. Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned veteran, all skill levels are welcome to join.

As we enjoy a social bev at some meetups, all attendees must be 18 or older.

Hello Everyone,

Come join us for a beautiful arvo everyone is welcome from beginner to expert worry not there wil be someone one to challenge.
Boards, pieces, clocks and sunscreen will be provided, but we do recommend bringing your own snacks and bevs! There will also be a speaker there playing tunes for all to enjoy.
The location of the event will be at a new spot - University Square (190 Pelham St) right next to the newly opened Parkville Station!
