What we’re about

Hello, welcome to the Melbourne Chess Society. This group is a safe, respectful and inclusive space for everyone. There will be no tolerance for sexists,racists, homophobes, fascist or creeps. We are just a bunch of people who became friends over a simple game of chess. We host meetups in the cbd and run online tournaments monthly. If you’re new to the game or a season veteran all are welcome to join. Since we do enjoy a social bev that all attendees be 18 or more older.

Summer is almost here, that means more chess in the park! So come join us for a beautiful arvo everyone is welcome from beginner to expert worry not there wil be someone one to challenge.

Boards, pieces and clocks will be provided, but we do recommend bringing your own, if possible, as the group has been expanding pretty rapidly!

The location of the event is in front of the Royal Exhibition building to the left of the round about if you’re facing the building.
