The Cisco User Group was created in early 2016 by local enthusiastic IT professionals. Its purpose is to create a unique and friendly environment where IT professionals can meet up once a month and get to know each other, share knowledge, experiences, skills, learn about careers and much more in a completely relaxed and social environment along with plenty of drinks and great food!

The group is free and open to anyone who enjoys socialising and talking about any IT technology topic.

Meetups run on the first Tuesday of every month at 18:00 (6pm) sharp!

What to expect: Fantastic friendly people, great presentations, Free drinks & food and sometimes even free books with cool Cisco give-away prizes!!

Data Protection with Cohesity with Live Interactive Demo: Consolidate your secondary workloads, including backup target, data protection, disaster recovery, filer, object storage, test/ dev, archive and analytics with Cohesity on Cisco UCS.

This session with cover an intro to Cohesity with a live interactive demo session.

Presenters:
Derek Cowan
Derek is the Head of Cohesity ANZ SE’s and has been in this role for the past 18 months. During this time, he has expanded the team and helped drive Cohesity’s success in the ANZ market.
Previous to Cohesity Derek was ANZ SE Director for Nimble Storage and was at VMware for over 5 years.

Pete Marfatia
Pete is a Senior Systems Engineer at Cohesity and was the 1st SE in ANZ. Pete has been successful in helping customers solve their secondary data challenges in VIC, SA and TAS. Pete has had previous roles at Nimble, Violin Memory, VMware, EMC and IBM.
