Bring your laptop and your iOS, visionOS, macOS, tvOS or watchOS project to the combined CocoaHeads & Android GDG coding night.

We have a special guest joining us at Coding night on 21st August, Luke Pearce who is a Performance Coach at Bilue and he will be offering short career coaching sessions through the night.
What is coaching you may ask? Whether you’re just starting out in the industry, considering a career change, looking to build your non-technical skills, or simply feeling a bit uncertain about your next steps, this session is a great opportunity to connect and gain some personalised guidance on navigate your career journey!

About Luke:
Luke Pearce has 500+ coaching hours experience with 80+ clients in a variety of roles, from first time engineers to agile delivery managers and principal level consultants. Outside of tech, Luke has hosted workshops with hundreds of attendees and has experience coaching clients within the education and HR space, as well as has both a Swinburne Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching and a Bachelor of IT from Deakin University under his belt.

Luke has the unique lens of having been a leading iOS developer, guiding teams on client engagements and even taking on the Head of Engineering role at Bilue. His understanding of the skills and qualities needed to be a successful practitioner and leader across departments is a rare addition to the coaching services he delivers.

Everyone is welcome to our all-ages alcohol-free event. Hosted in a professional environment to allow you to work on your project. Get help from industry experts who are on hand to help you out.

• What else we'll do:

We'll help you setup up Xcode and start your first project.

We'll help answer your questions re how to get to the next phase of your project.

• What to bring:

Your laptop, a copy of Xcode, a project you'd like to hack on.

Before arrival, make sure you're grabbing a fresh copy of Xcode from the Mac App Store (Apple Menu then App Store then search for Xcode, Install. Link: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/xcode/id497799835?mt=12)

Doors open at 5:45 PM at our host the Mantel Group, Level 2/452 Flinders St Melbourne. Message via Meetup or Slack if you are arriving after 6:00 as the lifts won't let you up. The hack night will wrap up at 8:30.
