Demo - will be a Snowflake overview, touching on; instant scalability, native support for semi-structured data (JSON, etc) and Continuous Data Protection and Time-Travel. All features will be demonstrated from a technical standpoint, and executed as ANSI SQL queries live in the Snowflake UI. The sample dataset used in the demo with be the New York Citibike public dataset.
James Harnischmacher is a Sales Engineer at Snowflake with a background in Data Analytics & Management Consulting from past experience at Deloitte and PwC's consulting practices, working across a wide variety of Analytic tools, with strength in; cloud native AWS, BI, MS SQL and Snowflake, over the past 10 years.

An Operational Data Layer (or ODL) is an architectural pattern that centrally integrates and organizes siloed enterprise data, making it available to consuming applications. In this talk we will discuss how MongoDB's document data model and distributed architecture provides the best platform to build an ODL that can be deployed on-prem or on cloud. We will also use MongoDB Atlas to demonstrate how easy it is to deploy a global MongoDB clusters in minutes.
