What we’re about
Esperanto! It's a planned language designed to be the world's second language and is in fact the easiest language to learn. Spoken in over 100 countries throughout the world Esperanto is great for travel and making new friends. Whether you want to use the free accommodation services of Pasporta Servo, get a super boost to learning another language, chat with Esperanto speakers from around the world via the internet, or simply to exercise your brain by learning an easily achievable language, Esperanto is the answer! The Melbourne Esperanto Association hosts meetups on Monday nights at Ross House, and casual beginner lessons on Sunday afternoons at the Emporium food court. We teach, learn, study, practice and speak Esperanto in an informal setting and welcome new attendees, even if you don't know any Esperanto yet! For more information visit www.melburno.org.au or come to one of our meetups!

Come and learn about the International Language, Esperanto, from experienced speakers who have travelled the world, attended international conferences, and made friends with people from many different countries. Esperanto is simple to learn, regular, and a very powerful tool for international communication.
Our Monday meetups are tailored to whoever shows up on the night, so feel free to drop in, no matter what your level (curious/interested/beginner/conversational/expert). We can offer one-on-one lessons or a range of group activities, conversation, and games.
This year we'll meet on the first and third Monday of the month at Ross House on the second floor (room 2.2). If you want to join our Discord server for Esperantists in Victoria, please visit https://discord.gg/6cgKjQhkWa
