Creating in fragments: Substack as a tool for reaching the time poor

Creativity both demands and develops capacity for imagination, concentration, resilience, adaptability, reflexivity, and critical thinking. This requires energy, focus, and time.
What happens, then, when the demands of life leach time and energy from our inner worlds? When the obligations of work and family fragment our time to focus on creative work, where does this leave us?
In her work as a creativity mentor and transformative facilitator, Meredith Lewis has found herself working with many knowledge workers who are challenged with finding the time to develop a sense of creative identity and build a creative process. In this session, she will discuss how she has been using her Substack publication Methods and Madness: Notes on Creativity to reach and support the
time-poor.

Our Speaker: Meredith Lewis
I help people regain trust in their creative identities, as individuals and within groups.
My work as a creative mentor is about helping professionals working on complex creative projects find their coordinates and map their way from scary beginning, through the messy middle to a meaningful resolution.
The result: regain your creative confidence, build resilience and sustain the effort required to finish that book, online learning system or creative venture.
As a facilitator I’ve worked with groups from across sectors and time zones, offering guidance and support as they approach problems from unexplored angles and uncover the hidden passageways that allow meaningful communication to flow.
The result: profound insights, implementable recommendations and useful content that moves you closer towards your goals.

Agenda:
6:00 - 6:30 networking over drinks and nibbles
6:30 - 7:45 exploration of the topic
7:45 - 8:00 wrap up and informal conversations
