TALK 1: Using the Kubernetes Resource Model for provisioning Infrastructure aka IaC via Kubernetes
As organisations increasingly rely on Kubernetes to orchestrate their containerised applications, they face new challenges in managing the infrastructure required to support them. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) provides a powerful solution to this problem, enabling organisations to define and manage their infrastructure using code.
In this talk, we'll explore how to leverage three open-source tools, Crossplane, Kubernetes Config Connector, and Terraform Cloud Operator, to deploy IaC via Kubernetes. We'll start by providing an overview of the benefits of IaC and Kubernetes, and then dive into how these tools can simplify the process of deploying infrastructure resources and Kubernetes objects using declarative configurations.
SPEAKER 1: Simon Grzebieta - Lead Engineer, Innablr
Simon is an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer who specializes in designing and implementing secure and optimized cloud environments on AWS and GCP. He possesses expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, DevOps, and CICD to deliver high-performance and scalable cloud solutions. Simon is proficient in automating infrastructure deployment and implementing security best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards. He has extensive experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions and drive business growth
TALK 2: Kubernetes - Where it fits in the platform? And the Genesis of eduk8s!!
In this talk, we will explore the role of Kubernetes in modern platform development and the challenges organisations face in implementing and managing it effectively. Prateek will also share insights from Innablr’s experience working with Kubernetes and discusses the genesis of eduk8s, a training organisation focused on helping individuals and teams develop the skills they need to work with Cloud and Cloud Native technology.
SPEAKER 2: Prateek Nayak - CTO, Innablr
As the CTO at Innablr, Melbourne’s leading cloud engineering and KCSP-certified platform consultancy, Prateek is responsible for charting the technology direction at Innablr and helping Innablr’s clients in their technology transformation journey. Prateek has worked with some of the large enterprises in Melbourne and helped them transform by building cloud-native, cloud-first technology platforms that enable fast and secure delivery of applications. Prateek started his career as a developer and then gradually switched to cloud engineering and DevOps. He is really passionate about the technologies in the Kubernetes ecosystem and also co-organises the Melbourne Kubernetes User Group.
Shout-out to our community sponsor eduk8s!
See you there!
