About this event
Come as you are and join us for a relaxed community drum circle in nature.
This is an invitation to step away from the busyness of everyday life, get outdoors, connect with others and experience the simple joy of making music together.
You don’t need to know how to drum, have any musical experience or even own a drum. Whether you’re a seasoned drummer or picking up a drum for the very first time, you’re welcome here.
We’ll gather, settle into the space and let the rhythms unfold naturally. There’ll be room to explore, listen, play, laugh and connect + without pressure to perform or get anything right.
Sometimes it’s good to slow down and simply be part of something together.
What to expect
A welcoming, inclusive community gathering
You’ll also be guided through a drum journey, where you can relax, listen and receive the rhythms as I play. Afterwards, we’ll come together to drum, connect and share in the experience.
Perhaps you have a drum sitting at home that you’ve never quite known what to do with, or you’ve felt the pull to buy or make one but haven’t yet taken that first step. Maybe your drum has been collecting dust, waiting for you to pick it up. This is your invitation to reconnect with that pull, explore your own rhythm and discover the simple joy of drumming together. 🥁🌿
What to bring
🥁 Bring your own drum or percussion instrument if you have one. A few extra drums will be available to share, so don’t worry if you don’t have your own.
🧺 Something comfortable to sit on
No drum? No experience? No worries. You’re welcome just as you are.
Where to meet
We’ll meet at The Nest sculpture on Parklands Avenue, Alphington VIC 3078.
Please allow a little extra time to find the meeting point, and aim to arrive before 11:00 am so we can begin together.
