Build some NodeBots

Details

Monthly NodeBots night at CCHS (Hack Melbourne). We have gear if you want to come on down - just bring your laptop and we'll get you going. If you have your own gear and want to show and tell that's great as well and likewise sometimes it's nice to get another opinion on how to do something.

We always have mentors who can help you out and answer questions with a huge amount of hardware and javascript experience to help you when you get stuck.

To keep up to date with NodeBots events and what is happening in the NodeBots community around the world, please sign up to our very low volume newsletter (http://eepurl.com/H1jd5) (2 emails a month).

FAQs:

What do I need to bring?

Just a computer and yourself. If you have a project you want to work on then bring it along. If not we have experimenter and simplebot kits you can play with.

Can I bring my child?

Absolutely - kids love robots and working on something where you are both learning is great fun. Most kids 6 or up tend to be pretty good with simple electronics and as they get to about 10 or so can start doing elementary programming in JavaScript. The evening can go as late as you want it so you can tune it around school as well.

Do you have kits available?

Yes. We have IoT Exploration kits for $25, Scientist Kits for $50 and SimpleBot kits for $100 if you want to take some gear home with you.
