Hike 9 km Dandenong Ranges - Mathias track / Woolrich lookout

This hike follows the Mathias track and some other more hidden trails through both open and dense forest. Trails are relatively easy with a few steep sections. Total elevation gain of 350 meters. We have a short break at the Woolrich lookout and another early lunch break at 2/3rd of the hike.
This hike is a great opportunity for new members to get acquainted with the group in preparation for more challenging hikes in the near future.
This hike is also suitable for anyone who hasn't hiked for a while (but has a good level of general fitness) and wants to get back into it.

What to bring

• suitable hiking shoes/boots
• 0.5-1 litre of water

Carpooling
Unless otherwise agreed it is assumed that a fee of 10 cents per kilometer (plus share in toll fees, if applicable) is paid by each passenger to cover for fuel and other running costs. This is probably $10 per passenger for a return trip. To be paid directly to the driver in cash.
