Details
This hike has been on my wishlist for a very long time. If you love dense rainforest with loads of fern trees and mosses, then don't miss out on this little adventure. Some hikers mentioned this is their favourite hike of all time, with great variety in plants and scenery, including 300 year old massive trees. It's like 5 different hikes in one. It's so serene and quiet except for the sounds of water and very active birds.
The terrain will likely be muddy and slippery in places with some narrow uphill/downhill paths with drop-offs to one side. The hike covers about 440 vertical meters. It is advised you should only join this event when you are fit and have done a 10+ km hike with some elevation in the past month.
Note this hike is organised in collaboration with Meetup group Melbourne Hiking, Nature & Outdoor.
