Studio Inqu is a new creative arts space launched in April 2022. Our intimate venue is conveniently located off Cotham Road, close to several neighbourhood wine bars, cafes and restaurants.
We’re a space for the community to learn new skills, connect with others and unwind from the demands of daily life through creative activities.

This two-day watercolour painting workshop is best suited to complete beginners and those who are getting back into painting after a long hiatus. It will cover a range of fundamental techniques that are beneficial to new watercolour artists.
On Day 1, you will be introduced to watercolour materials and a recommended studio setup. We will explore tonal values, water control, and create a series of small abstract studies to practise these techniques.
On Day 2, we will explore colour mixing, layering and blending techniques in order to create form. You will apply the lessons learnt from the weekend on a small watercolour study to take home.
There will be demonstrations and one-on-one guidance throughout the weekend. All required painting materials will be supplied. There will be an hour lunch break in the afternoon on both days.
