Shared Death Experiences - A Profound Life-Affirming Phenomenon by Mel Oborne
Details
You have likely already heard of a Near-Death Experience, but what is a Shared-Death Experience (SDE)? In typical cases which are now being increasingly documented, it's where someone dies and someone else who is sitting with them experiences some aspects of their dying experience.
In this presentation...
Discover how individuals have accompanied loved ones to the 'gates' of a joyous afterlife, and how the SDE offers an opportunity to shift from fear and anxiety about death to a sense of hope, wonder, and comfort, easing the grieving process.
Melanie will discuss and explore the following:
- Introduce the Shared Crossing Project and its Research Initiative Study
- Review findings from our study on shared-death experiences (SDEs)
- Introduce SDE typologies
- Present case studies which highlight the different modes of participation
- Highlight therapeutic benefits to experiencers
