Is Religion Special?

Is Religion special? Is there anything peculiar or unique about its form or content that marks it out from other ways of experiencing the world? Are any uniqueness' derived from special experiences or claims that only religious persons can have? Motivated by the desire to understand ourselves and happening to be interested in religious thought, we will come together to talk about whether and how religion might be special and why.
