After Dark Photo Walk: Arcades & Laneways

Details

Melbourne is a photogenic city by day but it can be even more interesting after dark. In this session we'll take a walk around some different locations which offer photographic opportunities.

This particular session will start at St Paul's (opposite Flinders St Station and Fed Square) and we'll then wander up through the city.

No particular instruction will be offered in this session but I'll be happy to provide tips or camera/photographic assistance to anyone who requires it.

Assuming all goes to plan, we'll finish around 8pm near QV. We may convene somewhere nearby for post-walk food or refreshments.

Any form of camera is welcome on this walk but keep in mind that for some of the evening we'll be shooting in low-light conditions. You may find a tripod handy. If you're not confident with your camera, this may be a good excuse to get some practice amongst other photographers.

As this activity is run outdoors after dark, please ensure you're dressed in appropriately warm clothes (it can be freezing in winter) and if the forecast suggests rain, please bring an umbrella. Wet weather may cause a change to the planned route but it's very unlikely to cause an outright cancellation.

The group will be limited to 10 photographers (plus myself as walk leader).

I hope to run these walks regularly along different routes so if you can't make this one look out for future walks.

Note: This event has also been scheduled through my group "Melbourne Photography Education" (http://meetup.gilliver.net). The combined maximum number of participants will be kept to 10 photographers.
