For seasoned professionals and academics who want to give back to your local community; this is a chance to help those already qualified get into the industry.
For under-employed technology graduates, or new entrants to the technology sector (new graduates or experienced professionals that have recently migrated); this is an opportunity to understand how you could potentially enter the sector.
Our objective is to enable those with a technology background or qualification to become gainfully employed in the technology sector by connecting under-employed individuals or new technology graduates with experienced industry professionals via workshops, seminars, meetings and other mission focused career development and networking activities to help pursue the dream of building a career in technology.
Our events will be oriented at helping under-employed, new graduates or aspiring technologists to bridge the gap between "learning" and "doing". Our events are one of three types, first, networking and spreading awareness of both our community and employers. Second, educational either from the point of view of technologists sharing their practical experience and how things work in the real world or helping graduates learn how to bridge the gap between knowledge and expereience. Last, we plan to host companies and executives who recruit for technology roles to keep current of hot employers and technologies.
