Melbourne Serverless Meetup Group event for August 2022

We are back for another month and we are VERY lucky to have Lars Klint from Pluralsight and Erwin van der Koogh from CloudFlare to speak to us!!

My interpretation of Serverless might be different to yours, and that is OK! Anything within the Serverless sphere is fair game. Maybe you tried a new Serverless tool recently, maybe you developed a cool Serverless app at work? Please share - even if it is not a formal presentation - a short 10-15min show and tell is also ok where the audience can fire questions at you.

Hands-on Azure demos to build a full Serverless image resizing app from start to finish using Logic Apps, storage, functions and a dash of magic. All live and unedited. What could possibly go wrong…

7:15 PM - "Building applications at the Edge" - Erwin van der Koogh from CloudFlare

Serverless functions have been around for a few years now, which has been great, but until recently you had to choose between putting your data and your functions together in one region or to run them on the edge, without your data.
With the recent additions to the Cloudflare Developer Platform however it is becoming easier and easier to write entire applications at the edge.
In this talk we will be going over how to design such an application and get a peek into what software development without regions would be.
