Melbourne Social 50+

THIS site exists for the purpose of providing people over age 50+ a safe, friendly place to meet others for different social activities and long lasting friendships.
The purpose of Melbourne Social 50+ is to provide for a variety of activities to give people who are 50+ y/o an opportunity to meet each other, and to participate in activities that they might not participate in by themselves. Keeping in mind that some of the over-50 crowd might be on a limited budget, we will strive to find activities that provide solid value without breaking the budget.

Some of the activities we hope to engage in during the coming year include:

• Plays at Surfside Playhouse, Cocoa Village Playhouse, Henegar Center, King Center, and other venues
• Musical entertainment, including Space Coast Symphony, Community Arts Foundation of Brevard, FIT concerts, Melbourne Band and Melbourne Orchestra and local jazz groups
• Movies ( “movie night” every Tuesday)
• Get-togethers, including happy hours, dinners out, and dancing at some of the finest local establishments
• Local activities, including art festivals, walks/hikes, kayaking, river excursions, and other local activities

We also welcome any ideas you might want to share!

Please provide a personal facial recognition photo  (we all love pictures of cats and dogs but your pet is not you!) with your request to join our group. A phone selfie is perfect as long as you are recognizable in it. Requests for membership that don't include a clear facial photo will not be considered.
