Sunset Walk: South Melbourne Beach → Point Ormond Lookout
Details
Join us for a relaxed coastal weekend walk from South Melbourne Beach to Point Ormond Lookout.
We’ll start outside South Melbourne Life Saving Club, stroll along the bay at an unhurried pace, and aim to reach Point Ormond Lookout before sunset to enjoy the view as the sky changes colour. Sunset in Melbourne on Saturday, 6 June 2026 is listed as 5:07 PM, so the planned arrival around 4:45 PM should give us time to settle in before sunset.
After sunset, we’ll walk back together toward the starting point. Anyone keen can grab ice cream or food along the way, but that part is totally optional.
This is designed as a low-energy, no-rush weekend walk, perfect if you want to be outdoors without turning it into a workout or committing your whole night.
You’re welcome to come solo or with a friend.
