Details

Let’s meet for a daytime astronomy experience at Melbourne Observatory, inside Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.

The Solar Tour is a guided session focused on observing the Sun safely through historic telescope equipment and learning about solar astronomy. It’s a nice option if you’re curious about space, science, history, or just want to try something a bit different on a Sunday afternoon.

We’ll meet at The Observatory Cafe at 12:30pm, say hello, then head over together for the 1pm tour/session.

This will be relaxed, friendly, and low-pressure. You’re very welcome to come solo.

Who this is for
This is for anyone interested in astronomy, science, history, the Royal Botanic Gardens, or relaxed cultural activities.

No astronomy knowledge is needed. Curious first-timers are very welcome.
