Luna Dark Halloween Night at Luna Park St Kilda
Details
Join me for a Halloween night out at Luna Park St Kilda for Luna Dark — the park after dark, with unlimited rides, haunted mazes, roaming performers and live entertainment until midnight.
It's the opening night of Luna Dark 2026, so expect a big, loud, slightly ridiculous atmosphere — neon lights, scare attractions, carnival games and Halloween-themed shows across the park. Costumes are very welcome if that's your thing, but absolutely not required.
We'll meet outside the Luna Park gates at 5:45pm for a quick hello, then head inside together when the session opens at 6:00pm. From there we'll wander the park as a group, ride what we feel like riding and duck into the mazes for whoever's brave enough. I'll wrap the official meetup around 10:00pm, but your ticket runs until midnight, so stay on as long as you like.
A Meetup RSVP is not a ticket. This is a casual social meetup so we can go along together — it isn't run by, affiliated with or endorsed by Luna Park. Please book your own Luna Dark ticket directly with them before the night.
Who this is for
- Anyone who likes theme parks, Halloween, or both
- People who enjoy a bit of a fright — the mazes are optional, and you can skip them
- Coming on your own? Perfect. Plenty of people do, and you'll have a group to walk in with

Timeline
- 5:45pm – Meet outside the Luna Park gates and say hello
- 6:00pm – Head inside together as the Luna Dark night session opens
- 6:15pm – Rides, mazes, games and general wandering as a group
- 10:00pm – Meetup finishes (stay on if you like — the session runs to midnight)
Tickets / cost
- You'll need a Luna Dark Unlimited Rides Ticket for the night session, booked directly with Luna Park.
- Luna Park says all guests entering during Luna Dark need a valid Luna Dark Night Ticket — annual passes, standard park entry tickets and pre-purchased unlimited ride tickets are not valid for these sessions.
- Tickets are limited and Luna Park recommends booking online in advance, as sessions can sell out.
- Please book your own ticket.
Transport
- Luna Park is right on the Esplanade in St Kilda. Trams 96, 3/3a and 16 all stop nearby.
- Street parking around St Kilda on a Thursday night can be tight, so public transport is the easier option.
Bring
- Your Luna Dark ticket
- A jacket
- Comfortable shoes for a lot of walking and standing
- A costume if you're keen (Luna Park asks that costumes are family-friendly, that masks can be removed on request, and that props be checked at Guest Relations)
- Card for food and drinks
Expect
- Difficulty: Easy — mostly walking, standing and queuing
- Pace: Relaxed, we'll drift around the park rather than march through a schedule
- Vibe: Fun, silly and a bit spooky
- Group style: Casual and friendly; we may split into smaller groups for rides and mazes and regroup
Important notes
- This is an independent social meetup arranged so we can attend together. It isn't organised by, affiliated with or endorsed by Luna Park, and an RSVP here doesn't include entry.
- Rides, mazes and entertainment are all run by Luna Park and are subject to their availability, height restrictions and health requirements — worth checking their Fun & Safety Guide before you come.
- Please take part within your own ability, and follow all park rules and staff instructions. You're joining at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and wellbeing on the night.
- The mazes are genuinely designed to scare people. There's no pressure to go in, and no one will think less of you for sitting one out.
- If your plans change, please update your RSVP so numbers stay clear for everyone else.
- I'll be near the main gates from 5:45pm — if you're running late, head in and message the group.
