CIRCUS FIRE Spectacular at Prahran Square

Join me for a night of fire, acrobatics and general chaos at Prahran Square, where ZAP Circus are bringing their CIRCUS FIRE Spectacular to Centre Square as part of Melbourne Fringe. It's an outdoor show, it's free, and it's a very easy way to spend a Sunday evening.

Prahran Square describes it as an internationally award-winning show combining fire, acrobatics, dazzling special effects and razor-sharp comedy, running for about 45 minutes. Expect to stand, expect to be a bit close to the action, and expect to leave grinning.

We'll meet at the entrance of Reverie Cafe at 7:45pm for a quick hello, then wander over together around 7:55pm to find a good viewing spot before the show starts at 8:15pm. It's a free outdoor event with no reserved seating, so getting there on time matters if we want a decent view.

This is a casual social meetup so we can head along together — it isn't run by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Prahran Square, ZAP Circus or Melbourne Fringe. A Meetup RSVP is just a way of saying hello to the group, not a ticket or a guaranteed spot in the crowd.

Timeline

• 7:45pm – Meet at the entrance of Reverie Cafe, Prahran and say hi
• 7:55pm – Move together to a good viewing spot in Centre Square
• 8:15pm – Show starts
• 9:15pm – Show ends and we wrap up for the night

Tickets / cost

• Prahran Square lists this as a free event with no booking required, so there's nothing to buy or reserve.
• It's first-come, first-served for viewing positions, which is why we're meeting a bit before the start.

Transport

• Prahran Square is on Cato Street, Prahran, a short walk from Chapel Street trams and Prahran station.
• There's parking at Prahran Square, but it's a busy Sunday evening in Prahran — public transport is usually the easier option.

Bring

• A jacket or something warm — it's outdoors and October evenings in Melbourne can turn
• Comfortable shoes, since we'll be standing for the show
• Water, and a bit of cash or card if you want a drink or snack beforehand

Expect

• Vibe: fun, loud and a bit spectacular
• Group style: casual and low-pressure, easy to join on your own
