Adventure Reels Tour 2026

Join me for a big night of adventure films at The Capitol on Swanston Street. The Adventure Reels Tour is a curated collection of short action-sports films from around the world — skiing, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, wing-suits — all packed into around two and a half hours on the big screen.

The Capitol is one of Melbourne's most beautiful cinemas, so it's a lovely spot to sit back and watch people do slightly unreasonable things on mountains.

We'll meet outside Starbucks at 117 Swanston Street at 6:30pm for a quick hello, then walk over to The Capitol together around 6:40pm so we're seated before the films start at 7:00pm. Afterwards we'll head out together and anyone who wants to keep chatting can.

This is a casual social meetup so we can go along together — it isn't run by or affiliated with Adventure Reels or The Capitol. Please book your own ticket directly through Humanitix; an RSVP here doesn't include entry.

Who this is for

• Anyone who loves adventure films, the outdoors, or just a good night at the cinema
• No experience or fitness required — this one's all sitting down
• Coming solo is completely fine, plenty of people do

Timeline

• 6:30pm – Meet outside Starbucks (117 Swanston Street) and say hello
• 6:40pm – Walk over to The Capitol and find seats together
• 7:00pm – Films start
• 10:00pm – Films finish and the meetup wraps up

Tickets / cost

• You book and pay for your own ticket directly with Humanitix.
• Book ahead — these screenings can sell out.
• Seating is not allocated, so arriving early gives us a good shot at sitting together.

Transport

• The Capitol is at 113 Swanston Street, right in the city — easy on foot from Flinders Street or Melbourne Central.
• Trams along Swanston Street stop practically at the door.
• Parking in the CBD is limited and pricey on a Thursday night, so public transport is easier if you can.
