Gravity 3D at IMAX Melbourne

Join me for Gravity in 3D on the giant screen at IMAX Melbourne on Sunday 11 October. It's one of those films that really belongs in a cinema this size — the kind of thing that's worth leaving the couch for.

We'll meet outside the IMAX Melbourne gates at 6:15pm for a quick hello, head in together around 6:25pm to get seated, and the film starts at 6:35pm. It should wrap up around 8:15pm, and that's where the meetup finishes.

This is just a casual social group going along together — it isn't run by, affiliated with, or endorsed by IMAX Melbourne. Please book your own ticket directly with them; an RSVP here is not a ticket and doesn't include entry.

Timeline

• 6:15pm – Meet outside the IMAX Melbourne gates and say hello

Transport

• IMAX Melbourne is in Carlton, right by Melbourne Museum and Carlton Gardens.
• Trams along Nicholson and Rathdowne Streets stop nearby, and Parliament Station is a walk away through the gardens.
• There is paid parking under the museum if you're driving — check current rates yourself before you rely on it.

• Difficulty: none — it's a movie
• Pace: relaxed, with a short catch-up before the film
• Vibe: friendly and low-pressure, no need to know anyone
• Group style: we sit together where seating allows, and there's no obligation to stay and chat afterwards
