BattleKart Melbourne

Join me for a social night of BattleKart in West Footscray! BattleKart is electric go-karting with a twist: the track and game are projected onto the floor, so you're racing, dodging and collecting power-ups like you're inside a real-life video game.

We'll meet outside the BattleKart Melbourne gates at 5:30pm, say hello, then head inside together for check-in and the safety briefing. Our session starts at 6:15pm and runs for about 15 minutes, with 3x BattleRace and 1x BattleColor rounds. Afterwards, anyone keen can grab an optional dinner nearby.

This is a casual social meetup so we can play together. It isn't run by or affiliated with BattleKart, so please book your own ticket directly with them. A Meetup RSVP does not include a kart or entry.

Who this is for

• Anyone who likes go-karts, video games, or a bit of friendly chaos
• Beginners welcome, no racing experience needed
• Solo attendees are very welcome. Most people come on their own
• BattleKart says riders must be at least 1.45m (4'9") tall

Timeline

• 5:30pm – Meet outside the BattleKart Melbourne gates and say hi
• 5:40pm – Head inside for check-in (BattleKart asks everyone to arrive 30 minutes before the session for the safety briefing)
• 6:15pm – Session starts
• ~6:30pm – Session ends and meetup finishes
• After – Optional dinner at a nearby place for anyone keen

Tickets / cost

• Please book your own ticket directly on the BattleKart website before the night. BattleKart doesn't take walk-ins.
• Choose Saturday 31 October and the 6:15pm timeslot.
• It will show as a yellow "Partially booked slot with enough free places", with 3x BattleRace and 1x BattleColor game modes already selected. That's our session, so pick that one.
• BattleKart's website currently lists adult sessions from A$65. Please check the price shown when you book.
• Sessions take a maximum of 10 players, so spots are limited. Book early to secure yours.

Transport

• BattleKart says there's free on-site parking.
• By train, it's about an 8-minute walk from West Footscray Station.

Bring

• Your booking confirmation
• Comfortable clothes you don't mind moving in (no scarves or loose, dangly items)
• A hair tie if you have long hair
• Money for dinner if you're joining afterwards

Expect

• Difficulty: Easy to pick up, no experience needed
• Pace: A short, fast-paced 15-minute session
• Vibe: Fun, playful and a little competitive
• Group style: Relaxed and social, and nobody cares where you finish

• BattleKart asks everyone to arrive 30 minutes early for the safety briefing. They note that if you're late they may not be able to offer another timeslot or a refund, so please be on time.
