Japanese Lunch at Wabi Sabi Salon

Join me for a relaxed Saturday lunch at Wabi Sabi Salon on Smith Street, Collingwood, a cosy Japanese restaurant with a garden dining area. It's a great chance to enjoy good food, meet new people and catch up with familiar faces.

We'll meet outside Wabi Sabi Salon at 12:00pm, head in around 12:10pm and sit together at one table in the restaurant's Japanese garden area. Then it's ordering, eating and chatting until we wrap up around 1:30pm.

There's no ticket or deposit. You just pay for your own meal, and the restaurant asks that everyone orders at least one main.

Tickets / cost
There's no entry fee or deposit. Each person orders at least one main meal, as requested by the restaurant for our group.
To keep things simple for the restaurant, I'll pay the whole bill at the end, and you can transfer me the cost of what you ordered. I'll share my payment details at the table.

Transport
Wabi Sabi Salon is at 94 Smith Street, Collingwood. Trams run along Smith Street (route 86), so it's an easy trip from the city. Check the PTV Journey Planner on the day for any disruptions.

Expect

• Pace: Unhurried, about an hour and a half
• Vibe: Relaxed, friendly and chatty
• Group style: One table together in the Japanese garden area

Important notes

• The table is already booked under my name, so there's no need to book yourself. Just RSVP here.
• Please aim to arrive by 12:00pm so we can head in together. If you're running late, go inside and ask for the Melbourne Social table.
• I'll confirm final numbers with the restaurant on Friday 13 November, so please update your RSVP before then if your plans change.
• The booking is held on my card, and the restaurant's booking terms include a $30-per-person fee for no-shows and cancellations made less than a day ahead. If you can't make it, please let me know as early as you can.
• If something comes up at the last minute, please still update your RSVP or send me a message so I can let the restaurant know.
• If you have food allergies, please check with the staff directly when you order.
