Whether you're new to Melbourne, have lived here for years, or simply want to meet some new faces, this is a great opportunity to step outside your usual routine and make new connections.

No formal activities, no awkward networking and no pressure to be super outgoing. Just a friendly group of people getting together to chat, mingle and hopefully make a few new friends along the way!

🌿 What to Expect

We'll gather in a nice grassy area of Flagstaff Gardens and spend the afternoon chatting, relaxing and getting to know each other.
To make conversations easier and give everyone a chance to meet different people, we may split into smaller groups of around 6–8 people.

Feel free to move between groups, join different conversations and meet as many people as you like.

There's no strict schedule or structured activities. The idea is to create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere where friendships can happen naturally.

👋 Coming Alone or Feeling a Little Shy?

You're definitely not alone! Many people attending our events come by themselves, and some are joining a Meetup for the very first time.
If you're introverted, a little shy or nervous about meeting new people, please don't let that stop you from coming!

Feel free to come straight up and say hi to me (my name is Liem) when you arrive. I'll be happy to introduce you to a few people and help you get the conversation started. 😊

You don't need to be super outgoing or have perfect conversation skills. Just relax, be yourself and enjoy getting to know others.

🎒 What to Bring (Recommended but Optional)

• 🧺 A picnic blanket or something comfortable to sit on
• ☕ Your favourite coffee, drink or some snacks
• 💧 Water to stay hydrated
• 🧢 Sunscreen or a hat if it's sunny

Nothing is compulsory! Feel free to just show up as you are. There's no need to bring food or purchase anything to participate. Just a friendly attitude and an open mind are all we need!

📍 How to Find Us

We'll meet at the big tree near the stage in the centre of Flagstaff Gardens.
The gardens are conveniently located in Melbourne CBD, just a short walk from Flagstaff Station.

Please try to arrive a few minutes before 12:00pm so you can find the group, introduce yourself and settle into a conversation.
