What began as a handcrafted Playwright TypeScript framework has grown into an AI-powered, MCP-enabled automation testing framework.

This talk shares the journey, starting from the fundamentals of building the framework from scratch, through iterative enhancements, to integrating AI-driven capabilities and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

We’ll explore how AI can accelerate code, boost test coverage, and intelligently maintain tests, while MCP streamlines integration with external tools and data sources.

You’ll walk away with lessons learned and a clear roadmap for transforming your own frameworks to keep pace with modern quality engineering.
