Hey SRE Melbourne,

This is more of a save the date, but we're looking at the next meetup focussing around the Crowdstrike incident, Post Mortems and the potential fall out for the industry for it.

Panel Member 1:

Frances Rees - Staff SRE @ Google

Frances Rees has been a Site Reliability Engineer at Google for the last nine and a half years based in Sydney, Dublin (Ireland), and recently Melbourne. She has an interest in simplifying systems and building resiliency, and has worked on products including maps, databases, cloud, and infrastructure. Frances enjoys being involved in the wider SRE community having co-chaired SREcon APAC in 2019, SREcon Conversations in 2020, and SREcon21.Her favourite snacks are Red Rock Deli Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream chips, which are somewhat difficult to obtain in Europe.

Panel Member 2:

Sarah Geisler - Senior Staff SRE @ Google
