Welcome to Melbourne Twisty Tourers.
We are a motorcycle group consisting of sports, sports/Tourers, Tourers and adventure bikes over 250cc (no scooters or cruisers).
This is a social group not a competition style group
All bikes must be registered and in a roadworthy condition and all riders must be liscenced.
All riders must wear proper motorcycle safety gear even in the warmer weather.
The group is based in the south east of Melbourne and starts its rides from this area (eg: Berwick, Cranbourne, Frankston, etc )
L and P plate riders are welcome but must must be able to ride to recommended speed limits and be able to keep with traffic flow.
All riders must ride in a safe manner, any rider deemed dangerous or dangerous to other riders will be requested to leave the group.
Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
All group rides will use the corner marking , lead and tail rider system ( it works, its safe and no one gets left behind )
Monthly day rides as well as shorter morning, afternoon or even summer twilight rides will be open to all riders.
Overnight/ multiple night rides will be open only to those who have been regularly active in the group.
After you have RSVPed and joined us for a monthly day ride or even a shorter ride you can decide whether this group suits you.
Membership will have an annual fee of $10.00, this will pay for the web site as well as help fund information night BBQs that will be held throughout the year.
If you have not have not attended an event for 12 months you will be removed from the group, you will be more than welcome to re join if you decide you want to participate in future events.
MOST IMPORTANT
If you RSVP for an event then you find you can’t make it, you MUST change your RSVP to a NO as we will be limiting rider numbers to a maximum of 25 , website will be checked 10 minutes before departure, if you have not indicated that you are running a little late or have not changed your RSVP to NO, you will be marked as a no show, three no shows, you will be removed from the group.
