What we’re about
This group is for ukulele players who want to strum and sing along with their favourite songs. All skill levels are welcomed and at every session we play 15 songs, including 2-3 easy songs that are achievable for beginners. Each week, we have a different theme and we have played over 1800 different songs over the years. We meet once a week (weekdays) after work hours in Kensington (3 km from Melbourne CBD). Our meetups are free (though donations are welcomed to help pay for our running costs). If you don't have a ukulele yet, we've got a few spare ukes that you can reserve.
If you can't attend in-person, we also have a weekly Zoom session with a wonderfully diverse audience from all over Australia and internationally! It's a great way to chat with other ukers during the half-time break.
I started this group because I believe playing music and singing are good for mental and emotional health, when done on a regular basis. Also, it's a lot of fun :) Looking forward to playing music and singing with you!
best regards, Fi
