Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all doing well! Join me for coffee or brunch at Penny Farthing Café, 206 High Street, Northcote on Monday, November 10th, 11am–2pm. We will hang out and discuss a tram based version of Jet Lag: The Game, played for the following week. Feel free to stop by for whatever time works, you don't have to stay the entire 3 hours.

Please Note: This is a Cafe Meetup to...

  • Discuss game rules and design
  • Download any necessary apps
  • Socialize with other players
  • Request any accommodations (Neurodivergent friendly! Fidget spinners, quiet zones during the game if needed)

The actual game will be the following Monday, November 17th. The event on November 17th will take place under the clocks at Flinders Street Station. Plan to attend at 8:30AM, the game will start at 9:00AM. The game will take anywhere from 4-8 hours (hopefully on the lower end).

Please attend the Cafe Meetup only if you intend to participate in the game for the following week. Only those who attend the Cafe Meetup will be automatically invited to play.

We also have a Discord community for discussion, rules and updates. While prior experience with viewing Jet Lag: The Game (or browsing the Reddit/Discord communities) is helpful, it’s not strictly required to join. Everyone is welcome, whether you have seen the game or want to learn!

If you cannot attend the Cafe Meetup but would like to play the following week, you can message me. Space is limited and invitations are not guaranteed.

About The Game

This Hide & Seek-style game in Melbourne is inspired by Jet Lag: The Game. Whether you’re a fan or just curious, it’s a travel game relying on strategy, teamwork, and a bit of luck. The vibes of the game are competitive, but have a friendly and entertaining feel to them. One team could be taking selfies, while the other team is taste testing Australian snacks blindfolded.

I would highly recommend viewing at least the first 10-15 minutes of Jet Lag: The Game in NYC, because this will explain the game better than any rulebook or description.

The teams will typically consist of 2 seekers and 2 hiders. The hiders will have 30 minutes to hide using the city's tram network. Hiders will be able to find the seekers riding trains, trams and buses. Using the investigation questions, seekers will be able to acquire information about the hiders location and find them. Hiders will be able to use curses and power ups to delay the seekers. Once the hiders are found, the teams will switch, so the hiders will become the seekers, and the seekers will become the hiders. The team with the best hiding time wins the game and earns ultimate bragging rights!
