About us
Melbourne Weekday Social is a relaxed, easygoing group for people who want to get out on weekday evenings and enjoy the city—without pressure, awkward vibes, or needing to already know someone.
This group is designed for after-work socials: free concerts, casual walks, cafés, outdoor events, public talks, low-key activities, and simple hangouts that let conversations happen naturally. No icebreakers that feel like job interviews. No expectations to drink or “network.” Just people showing up as they are.
Occasionally, events may include gentle, beginner-friendly activities like social cycling or casual bouldering—always relaxed, optional, and focused on hanging out rather than performance or skill level. You don’t need prior experience, fancy gear, or a competitive mindset to join.
It’s beginner-friendly and solo-joiner-friendly by design. Many members come alone, some bring a friend, and everyone is welcome to ease in at their own pace. You can be chatty, quiet, curious, or just there to enjoy the atmosphere.
The focus is on:
- Weekday events (so weekends stay flexible)
- Small groups that don’t feel overwhelming
- Public, accessible venues around Melbourne
- A calm, respectful, and inclusive vibe
If you enjoy the city more when it’s shared—but don’t want socialising to feel like work—this group is probably for you.
About the Host
Hi, I’m Sudal 🙏
On weekends, I’m usually outdoors—paragliding, caving, or climbing. On weekdays, I switch modes: slow down, socialise, unwind, and enjoy the city.
I started Melbourne Weekday Social to create easy, low-pressure ways to meet people after work. Think: show up, hang out, see what happens—no overplanning required.
I enjoy conversations that unfold naturally—during a walk, sitting on the grass at a concert, or over a casual coffee. Most events here are things I’d happily attend myself: public, relaxed, and easy to join (or quietly duck out early).
My role as a host is mainly to set the scene—clear plans, welcoming energy, and just enough structure so that coming alone feels normal (because it is).
If you’re after easy weekday connection without overthinking it, you’ll fit right in.
