Melbourne Whisky week @ Fossey's Distillery 209 Lygon St, Carlton

It's been a while.

Melbourne Whisky Week is coming up, in a little while, and we've been invited to join Fossey's distillery for a pre-paid tasting.

".... we would like to invite your group to our Whisky Tasting evening Lygon st Melbourne on Aug 17 or 18th. This is a hosted by 3 Victorian Whisky producers. Timboon Distillery, Backwoods Distilling Co & Fossey's Distillery."

I've picked Friday after work, since we usually catch up after work*.

The venue is open from 2PM, so you can make your way there at any time.

We have the option of a personalised tour of the operations - (it is a working distillery). For this reason, I've set the MeetUp time to 6:30pm. i.e. half an hour before kick off, so that we can take the tour and / or stake out the best possie upstairs. Official start time is 7pm.

Fossey's is a venue that we haven't visited before, so this should be fun.

Location is: Fossey's Distillery 209 Lygon Street upstairs cocktail bar.

Price is all inclusive at $85 - Including 6 tastings, and a tapas selection.

N.B. Pre-paying is a little different to our normal PAYG model. Whilst I think PAYG is probably still be an option, places upstairs might be limited, so please call or book ahead, in case the upstairs event sells out.

Usual group rules apply. i.e. whisky, friendship, and no approaching fellow members for non-platonic reasons - either in person, or via DMs.

* The event itself repeats on the Saturday, (in case you can't join the MeetUp but still want to go).

Last but not least, Melbourne Whisky MeetUp is not affiliated with this event, and I am paying the same as you are for the same level of service.
