Jim Pletch’s Book Launch of:
Finding Spiritual Strength

Sunday 30 Nov 2.30-4.30pm
Wharf Hotel - indoors
EVERYONE IS INVITED to my at-last (24 years in the making! My God!) book launch of my recently published spiritual self-help book: Finding Spiritual Strength. Stories From the Frontline of Life. Loving Values From Across the Humanitarian and Spiritual Traditions.

The book is designed to help readers increase spiritual strength in their lives in their own unique way using loving values and practices from across the humanitarian and spiritual traditions. It defines ‘spiritual’ as love. Each of the 12 chapters is on a different loving value, from Truth to Joy, from Meditation to Assertive Love. Each summarises the best research about the benefits we can get from the application of that particular loving value in our daily lives. There are 300 people’s spiritual strength stories for us to learn from, ranging from ordinary people to famous people, right up to Buddha and Christ.

There will be some live music. There will be story telling. All by my good self (!) You’ll hear about my mystical near-death experience (NDE), when my troubled war veteran father shot his way into our house when I was very young. I’m using the term NDE as it was created by Dr Raymond Moody in his pioneering medical research in 1975 in his massive best seller Life After Life. Unbeknown to any of us at the time of my NDE (I only ‘remembered’ the NDE 40 years later), that spawned my eventual conscious spiritual development journey (which is never ending of course!) – and this book. I’ll share about my four benefits from all of that – none of which you’ll find listed on the stock exchange (!) Of course I’m imperfect like everyone else, but these four benefits include a lot of simply joy in my life, and a complete absence of inner loneliness.
