About us
Welcome to The Melbourne Anime Club!! We began in 2013 back in a TINY library room watching anime in only yellow and blue. Since then the club has grown immensely and we have upgraded to a state of the art theater space within the Docklands library. This group is highly inclusive and is 100% not for profit. Our long standing success is because of YOU, our members who have supported us all this time with feedback, suggestions for improvements and donations big or small.
THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO MAKE SOME GOOD FRIENDS! :D
People come to join our club from all over the world, whether they are local regular member, temporary residents, or tourist passing through. We value each and every person who comes to visit and we most certainly extend our welcome to you!!
In this group, you will find many different types of people who come together to watch anime, chat over dinner, and play a game or two after. You don't need to be extroverted but we do encourage you to talk to someone who you haven't gotten to know yet and you can talk about the anime screened prior to dinner and get to know other members very well over games! We expect everyone to be respectful and non-judgmental. If you run into any issues, speak privately with any of the friendly officers who will be glad to help out!
Whether you are already a hardcore anime fan or just a curious passer-by, come join us and be a part of the largest anime community in Melbourne CBD.
This club is completely not-for-profit and we welcome all members of the public.
We do however require that you are over 18 or be accompanied by an adult as we can not guarantee that all Anime will be suitable for all ages.

An official MAC meetup post for our Godzilla screening is on its way, but please hold off on buying your tickets until after our Halloween meetup this Sunday! That way, we can buy our tickets together in person so everyone gets seats next to each other for the show. 🍿🎬
*If you've already bought your ticket and have seats further away that is 100% okay too!!Even better, our screening takes place right around Godzilla Day (November 3rd, the official birthday of the franchise celebrating the release of the 1954 classic!), so there's no better way for us to celebrate together!!

- Location: SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium (King St & Flinders St, Melbourne CBD)
- Tickets: Members will need to pre-purchase their entry tickets directly from the SEA LIFE Melbourne website in advance! 🎟️
- 🎟️ Commitment Fee ($2): To ensure every spot goes to someone who can make it and keep our group size accurate, there is a small $2 RSVP fee. This helps us prevent no-shows and ensures everyone who wants to join gets a chance!
### 🗺️ THE PLAN FOR THE DAY
- 12:00 PM (Lunch): Meet nearby at Crown MAGURO Bar for a yummy lunch. There are small sushi options and full meals here!
