Time to make new friends and learn a board game or two while you're at it. No gaming experience needed - come join the fun and meet some like-minded, social people while you're at it!
Established in 2021, this is a group that hopes to create a thriving board gaming community in Melbourne CBD and eastern suburbs.
Perfect for solo gamers looking to build a network of friends, or for people who haven't attended many Meet Ups and wanted to become part of our active group! There's something here for everyone - we focus on providing a welcoming, chill atmosphere where people can comfortably meet people and have a drink, while also learning new games.
If you're here for simple social/party games like Pictionary, Cards Against Humanity, Unstable Unicorns, or for more strategic games, you've come to the right place.
We'd also like to branch out into other cool things not limited to board games - think murder mysteries, escape rooms, scavenger hunts, geo-caching, real life 'Among Us' games etc.

Note: This is a collaboration event realised by Knox Board Game Group! They have put in all the leg work to bring the Melbourne board game community together, our group has been graciously invited. It will be a great day to meet new people, play some games, and grow this awesome community even further! From Knox Board Game Group
BoardCon Melbourne is a one day board gaming event from 8am-5pm on Saturday August 2nd promised to be full of board games, fun and enjoyment. Everybody is welcome, no experience is required! We aim to foster the a safe and comfortable environment where everyone is welcome. This event is a collaboration between the board game groups Board Together Melbourne, Richmond Board Game Club, Melbourne Incubator, Melbourne Board Game & Social Nights, and Knox Board Game Club and a combined event showcasing the great events that we have in Melbourne!

Cost: The cost is $10 per person which will be payable at the door.
Date and Location: Saturday August 2nd 2025 from 8am-5pm at Glen Waverley Community Center Hall A and C, we have a capacity of 120 attendees and a great space for playing board games and socialising! Please arrive as early as possible to make use of the time as time flies by!
Activities: We will be running many different board games such as Blood on the Clocktower, tournaments for Azul and Codenames. Please feel free to bring your own board games or borrow one from our small library of games!
What board games will we play? We'll play all kinds from long board games such as Twilight Imperium to party games like Flip 7 and everything in between. Please feel free to join games which people will run or run your own!
