Frankston to Sorrento Ocean Beach (105km)

Details
I have had to cancel my scheduled 'Nongs ride due to planned railway works but fortunately the Frankston line is unaffected this weekend.
- Frankston forecast for Sunday: 21°C with light winds *

Target Group: This is a ride for experienced cyclists only (Upper intermediates and above)
Ride: This is a group ride to Sorrento at a moderate/fast pace specifically for distance rather than speed. It is not a ride for racing ahead or lagging behind, hills excepted.
We meet in Frankston and ride to Mornington and beyond via the rolling coastal hills of Mt Martha to Safety Beach for a short break.
From Safety Beach, it is a flat ride to Sorrento for lunch and following lunch, we will do a 5 min ride to the nearby ocean beach before returning to Frankston the way we came.
Speed: 25-30 kmh in a group on flat ground, winds permitting. (Typical speeds, not average)

* This route map is from a longer ride going back to town, but I expect to finish at Frankston, myself 😉
Bike: Lightweight road-bikes only in good mechanical condition.
Getting there: Flinders St 8:17 train arriving Frankston 9:24 and cycle with me to the Visitors Centre (see location map). Driving? You'll need to park a little away where it's not restricted parking so allow sufficient time to be early, please.
