Catch a train to Werribee and ride back via the Mansion (51km)

The Werribee River trail to Werribee Mansion is open once more after nearly three years so let's go check it out.

Ride: Start in Werribee at 11am to buy lunch there (or bring from home) and carry it 6km to eat at Werribee Mansion Park.
Admission to the park is free and we can eat in a picnic shelter.
After lunch, we'll sight-see around the mansion gardens for about 20 minutes and try to spot the zoo animals over the river before cycling back to town via Point Cook / Sanctuary Lakes and the Bay West Trail.

Bring a lightweight backpack to carry your lunch or likely someone else can carry your sandwiches, etc.

or make your own way (to be there in Station Place before us, please)
The station has toilets near the ticket office.

Approx 51 km. You can exit early to the train at Altona if you are short on time. Decide on the day

Speed:
22-25 kmh or thereabouts.

Bike:
Most bikes suitable. E-bikes okay. Please check the condition and pressure of your tyres beforehand. Pump to firm.

Bring:
Water, spray jacket, cash/card for food, any snacks, Myki, spare tube, tools, your phone with my number.
