Ride: A Saturday ride to Black Rock via St Kilda and the Bay Trail
You can do this one to Black Rock and return to town yourself or by train from Sandringham, only 3km back up Beach Rd trail. Or do the whole ride if you're up for it ๐Ÿ™‚

An easy paced loop from Southwharf (Jeff's Shed / Melbourne Exhibition Centre) using the Bay Trail to Black Rock and back to town via Gardiners Creek Trail to finish at Fed Square / Swanston Street.

Forecast: Melbourne area - 20ยฐC
Partly cloudy. 15-20 kmh winds
Check this link closer to the day if you wish:

Bike: Any mechanically sound bicycle should be fine. Please check and pump up your tyres before the ride.

Speed: 20 km/h or so on the bay trail. Faster after lunch for the rest of the route if doing it all.

Distance: 21 km to Black Rock and 50 km for the full loop (See map)
If you only want a short ride then Sandringham station is close to Black Rock or you can make your own way back, of course. (Yes, I said this earlier in the description ๐Ÿ˜)
