Ride: This is a Wednesday recce ride of about 60km from Melbourne Exhibition Centre out to Truganina to check out some bike paths in the industrial area that I spotted on Google Maps.

Plus we'll take the Western Hwy Path to Caroline Springs and explore around there to see how good or bad it is in the 'burbs further north and west. I have explored and led rides there some years ago but the cycling infrastructure has been growing a lot in the housing growth areas at the edges of Melbourne so there may be some pleasant surprises.

Hoping for lunch in Caroline Springs at my new favourite bakery.

We could ride back or pop on the train at an appropriate time to turn around. Decide at the time. The end time is just a guess. You're welcome to depart early at any time, if you wish.

Note: You'll eed to be confident with a route that will vary as we find it at times and the possibility of dealing with traffic if the trails terminate on the odd road. (While looking for ways to avoid it)
We're likely to find all variety of surfaces.

Forecast: 28°C and dry. SE tailwinds likely according to this forecast:
