Ride: The detailed forecast for Sunday looks good for this one-way ride to Dandenong and we'll get the train back to to town to avoid the worst of any heat later in the afternoon. (All train lines will be running normally over the long weekend)
The ride is mostly on shared paths, starting with Main Yarra Trail, Gardiners Ck Trail and Scotchmans to Jells Park then East Link Trail to Dandenong. Check the route map, please
Stops: Coffee/water stop at Jells Park after 30 km or so and lunch stop (better coffee and food) at Abdallah Brothers Lebanese Bakery in Dandenong
There will be stops for water & toilets along the way as necessary, of course.
Forecast: 23° at 9am when we start
29° (feels like 27°) when we finish cycling in Dandenong.
Winds: WSW of approx 17 kmh - should be a tailwind for much of the ride.
