Ride: A Sunday ride to Black Rock via St Kilda and the Bay Trail
You can do this one to Black Rock and ride back to town yourself or return by train from Sandringham (3km back up Beach Rd trail). Or do the whole ride if you're up for it ๐
An easy paced loop from Southwharf (Jeff's Shed / Melbourne Exhibition Centre) using the Bay Trail to Black Rock and back to town via Gardiners Creek Trail to finish at Fed Square / Swanston Street.

Getting into town by train: Check Metro Planned Outages
Frankston has buses to Cheltenham. Sunbury running buses to Footscray.
Bike: Any mechanically sound bicycle should be fine. Please check and pump up your tyres before the ride.
Speed: 22 km/h or so on the bay trail. Faster (22-25km/h) after lunch for the rest of the route.
Distance: 21 km to Black Rock and 50 km for the full loop (See map)
If time is short, then Sandringham station is close to Black Rock or you can ride your own way back, of course. (Yes, I said this earlier in the description ๐)
