Mobile and CMS
Details
Hey folks
July's Melbourne Mobile Meetup is intended to be about how you can leverage the features of common Content Management Systems for the mobile aspects of your website. This is not just responsive design, but using CMSs to feed native apps to.
Speakers are to being confirmed, but we're looking to have presentations about some of the common CMSs such as WordPress and Drupal.
If you are interested in speaking about a CMS that you've leveraged for mobile websites, please let us know.
See you then!
Norm Douglas - Joomla!
Norm has been building websites since 1997. More importantly though, he has been involved in online marketing and business marketing for most of his career. He is heavily involved in the Joomla Open Source community and firmly believes in the Open Source philosophy. Open Source products allow us to build you a site that will not only be standards compliant, robust, and fully managable, but also able to be built upon by other Open Source products. This means you are not locked into one technology and can build upon your site at anytime.
Chris Ward - Drupal
Chris is a Drupal project manager and heavily involved in developing Drupal sites as well as the community in Melbourne and globally.
Jack Barker - WordPress / WhereTheTruck.atJack (https://twitter.com/jackbarker) is a freelance web developer, and co-founder of wherethetruck.at (http://wherethetruck.at/) (which helps you find Australia's trendy Food Trucks).
Jack will be talking about WordPress as:
- A mobile-friendly CMS, and also
- A backend for mobile apps
