Abstract: In this talk we will walk through the method of constructing a deep learning model in R using Torch+ Luz packages. A review of DL, tensors and torch will be discussed and we will demonstrate its use in a simple classification example. Hopefully, this gives a summary of concepts and principles we have to contend with in using torch in R.
