Drive by the visitor center and go along the road until you can turn right to go down to the campgrounds. There’s an A section and a B section. We are in B near the bathrooms.

I tried to find a site that both hammockers and tenters could use.

We can only have 6 people here but they don’t state a limit on tents.

Since this is during the end of the winter months, this will be a good trip to strengthen our winter camping skills but we’ll also have our cars nearby “just in case” we need them.

There are plenty of nearby waterfalls to check out!

IDEAS ON WHAT TO BRING:

• Camp stove though we'll cook on the campfire if possible. Due to wildfires it's possible they won't let us have a campfire.

• Nalgene
••• (or some other container to
••• put hot water in) to help you keep
••• warm while sleeping if needed

• Enough food for each day

• Clothes appropriate for the weather

• Warm sleep setup

• Tent or hammock

•Camp chair

•Firewood

• Think about the chances of rain!

If you haven’t camped out during the winter before, this will be a good way to learn how to do it!

If you don’t have a winter sleeping bag, don’t despair! Bring a bunch of blankets from home! Tenters - be sure to bring a closed cell foam mat along with an inflatable mattress because that helps keep the cold ground from sucking the warmth out of you. Don’t have one? Use cardboard.

There are heated bathrooms here with showers. Bring the toiletries you want/need.

There is a cement picnic table so bring something to sit on to keep your buns warm. Bring a camping table of some sort if you can.
