PGDay 2013! The first ever PUG in Melbourne!

See the pgday.org.au website for further details!

This will be the first ever PostgreSQL Users Group meeting in Melbourne. We will have 3 to 4 speakers across the entire day on a wide range of topics including:

- An introduction to PostgreSQL
- PostgreSQL 9.2
- Backup and recovery with PostgreSQL
- Replication strategies
- An introduction to Greenplum

We're fortunate to have two guest speakers from the international PostgreSQL community. Joining us all the way from Italy will be Gabriele Bartolini from 2ndQuadrant and from the US we will have Josh Berkus from PostgreSQL Experts Inc.

Tea and coffee will be provided and lunch (pizza!) will be on the cards.

Because we have limited seating capacity registration will be essential so please register today!

Thanks for the feedback guys! It was a great experience to have so many enthusiastic PostgreSQL users under one roof. I'll be getting the slides up onto the PGDay website later this week.

I'm with you Brett! Let's keep the momentum going. I'll post some details shortly but I'm looking at the 4th or 11th of March for the next one (or anyth other day that week) so keep your calendars free and check out the Melbourne AU PUG mailing list as well.

Great conference, well done Jason. You've set the bar very high with international speakers and sponsorship, hope we can keep the ball rolling and maintain interest for future PUG gatherings.

A good baseline for the first time. Shame I had to leave early
