This is a beginner-friendly class on how to use Canva for simple, effective designs—perfect for authors who want to create book promos, social media graphics, event flyers, and more.

We'll cover:

* **Basic Canva navigation**: What’s where, how to find what you need, and simple tools you’ll use again and again
* **Using templates to save time**: For social media posts, event announcements, newsletter graphics, and more
* **Book cover mockups**: Whether you’re creating a draft to pitch or playing with ideas for self-publishing
* **Personal branding for authors**: Fonts, colors, and images that reflect your unique voice
* **Practical demos**: I’ll build a few designs live. Watch, soak it in, then try it yourself using the video later.

**Note:** This is a **basics** class. We won’t be covering advanced design theory or complex graphics work. Although it’s hosted by Memoir Mentors, there’s nothing memoir-specific; it’s **useful for anyone who wants to learn more about using Canva**.
