Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl StrayedAbout the Book: Our first selection will be Cheryl Strayed’s Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, considered by many to be a classic modern memoir. After the death of her mother and the unraveling of her marriage, Strayed sets out alone on a 1,100-mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail, with little hiking experience and a great deal of emotional baggage.
But Wild is more than an extraordinary adventure story—it offers a fascinating look at how a writer can transform lived experience into narrative, using a physical journey to uncover a deeper story about grief, self-destruction, and the unexpected path toward healing.
